The engine lineup of the Dodge Durango is one of its most appealing features. While many will be focused on the horsepower and acceleration, it is just as important to know how much gas each one will use.
The miles per gallon rating of each one can tell you that, although they are estimates and your actual fuel consumption will vary a bit. The base engine is the most efficient at 26 MPG for highways and 19 for cities. For the V8 upgrade, the numbers are 22 on highways and 14 in cities. If you choose to get the big Hemi engine, the consumption gets higher, and it gets 19 for highway roads and 13 for cities. The heaviest and most powerful engine, the Hellcat, will manage around 17 on highways and 12 for cities.
